Cold Heart Subclass Skills Showcase

(Chills, Freezes, Ignores DMG, Shoots Icicles, also Summons a Golem)

The Cold Heart subclass is one of the survivability centric relics as well as a crowd control relic. This subclass recently (on May 25th) received some buffs to a variety of its skills which made some stronger, reduced the cooldown on another one or increased bonus effects of some passives. This is the Cold Heart Skills Showcase and I hope it helps people in figuring out if the Cold Heart subclass is their cup of tea and also gives them ideas regarding certain “build-around-me” items that they could use as synergies for specific skills.

Active Skills:

NOTE: To unlock the Tier 1, 2 ,3 bonuses the specific skill needs to be at lvls 3, 6, and 10. The cooldown and Damage % numbers listed are for lvl 1 of each skill. The damage numbers listed on the skills below are at lvl 10 of the skills, including the passive +30% bonuses from the skill of that specific skill tree. (basically I first had all 7 piracy skills at lvl 10 then had all 7 Cursed skills at lvl 10 and took screenshots)

Snowstorm (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Summon a snowstorm around you that drains your Relic Energy, lasting until Relic Energy is depleted. The snowstorm deals 160% damage per second as Ice (at lvl 10) and chills nearby enemies.

While the buff is active, you and nearby allies deal 25% more damage and gain 5% chance to Freeze enemies for 2 sec. Tiers:

  1. Snowstorm aura size increased
  2. -25% Relic Energy cost for Snowstorm
  3. You have 40% chance to critically hit frozen or chilled enemies

Frost Blast (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 25 Energy) – You fire a wave of icicles dealing 479% Weapon Damage (at lvl 10) as Ice and chilling enemies for 6 sec. Tiers:

  1. Frost Blast’s icicles break on impact, hitting enemies behind the first enemy struck
  2. Frost Blast now freezes enemies for 1 sec.
  3. -50% Relic Energy Cost for Frost Blast

Ice Golem (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 50 Energy) – Summon a massive ice elemental with 1000% of your Maximum Health for 60 sec. The Elemental attacks enemies for 217.5% (at lvl 10) Weapon Damage as Ice.

If the Elemental is already summoned, instead command it to teleport to a location, then slam the ground with a powerful strike, dealing 870% (at lvl 10) of its basic attack damage in an area and freezing targets for 4 seconds. Tiers:

  1. Ice Golem gains a chilling aura
  2. Ice Golem’s slam is larger and Freezes enemies for 1 sec.
  3. Ice Golem summons icicles around it periodically

Ice Shield (Cooldown: 20 Sec) – Transform your skin into ice for 5 second(s), preventing the next 3 sources of damage. Ice Shield also fires icicles at nearby enemies, each dealing 638% Weapon Damage (at lvl 10) as Ice. Tiers:

  1. +50% Ice Shield Duration
  2. Ice Shield icicles now pierce enemies
  3. Your pet now also spawns icicles

Cold Front (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Create a localized winter storm all around you for 10 sec. The storm drops razor-sharp icicles from above that deal 718% Weapon Damage (at lvl 10) as Ice per hit. Cold Front can be used after spending a total of 200 Relic Energy.Tiers:

  1. Cold Front unleashes glaciers that knockback enemies
  2. Cold Front Freezes all enemies for 3 sec. on activate
  3. Cold Front fires more icicles

Passive Skills:

Frost Skin (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Slowly form a second skin of armored ice, preventing all damage from a single hit. Frost Skin recharges automatically every 20 sec. (at lvl 5 it’s 20 sec. at lvl 1 it’s 40 sec.) Per level bonuses:

  • Frost Skin Recharge Rate +10%/+20%/+30%/+40%/+50%

Breaking Point (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – When Frost Skin breaks, unleash a Frost Nova dealing 220% (at lvl5 or 110% at lvl 1) Weapon Damage and Freezing enemies for 2 sec. Per level bonuses:

  • Maximum Health +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%
  • Frost Nova +20%/+40%/+60%/+80%/+100%

Large Bores (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Cold gets in easier through bullet holes.

Basic Attacks have a chance to fire a cluster of flying sharpened icicles ahead, dealing 94% Weapon Damage to the first enemy hit.

Requires an equipped Rifle Pistol or Digitus/Bow/Railhammer/Cannon to trigger the effects. Per level bonuses:

  • +10%/+20%/+30%/+40%/+50% Basic Attack Damage
  • +5%/+15%/+10%/+20%/+25% Relic Energy Generation While Using Basic Attack
  • 5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25% Chance on Basic Hit to Summon Enchanted Staff

Jagged Ice (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Let them feel a taste of cold and the power it offers. Per level bonuses:

  • Chance to Chill for 3 sec. when hit +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%
  • Chance to Chill for 3 sec. on hit +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%

Energizer (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Become more attuned to your relic. Increase your Relic Energy Charge Rate. Per level bonuses:

  • Relic Energy Charge Rate +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25
