Sigmar’s Torch
This build is recommended for up to Chaos 8 speed running. It lacks the defensive stats & damage to do Chaos 9 or higher reasonably quick, although, you could use it to solo Chaos 9 with good gear. The build uses the Blessed Flames set and utilizes the Heroic Version of Extirpate (Jurgen’s mobility skill). The blessings I used were the fully linked Yellow + Green gems (2 Green 4 Yellow or 3 Green 3 Yellow or 4 Green 2 Yellow) depending on whether one needs more HP or Crit DMG. NOTE: The build requires owning the Witch Hunter DLC, & the Tomb Kings DLC (if you decide to use Hero of the Desert). The Season’s Pass includes all DLCs until Tomb Kings (so the Witch Hunter is not included). The pass is also included in the Magnus Edition.

The gear I recommend using is :
- the Blessed Flames set as armor
- a Saintly Blades – decent dps boost + an AoE dps aura (could also use Barbed Irons if you have a good rolled one) OR Crusader’s Flame when it gets fixed
- a Debt of Flame gives us +100% dmg + a stacking 10% per stack DoT boost and -1% cooldown time per Stack for each burning enemy nearby (up to 20 stacks). Also dealing fire damage has a chance to trigger explosions.
- Any of those 2 Amulets – Pure Soul Medal or Thrice Blessed Copper Medal to either get 50% dmg bonus to the god skills we use or heal 20% hp when using god skills.
- Signet Ring of Resurgence to give us extra healing and HP. Good alternative choices could be Purple Signer Ring, Signet Ring of Fortification, Ring of Fortitude, Old Ring of Resonance
- Signet Ring of Null – to helps us get energy and a bit of healing when we crit

The Skills and Passives I recommend are:
Setup 1: When using the Blessed Flames Set
- Any basic skill (Pierce, Persecute, Castigate) – I don’t really use it and it costs 0 points so might as well try and squeeze an extra cooldown skill (Cast Iron) there and use Duelist’s Chain Reaction instead of Hero of the Desert
- Martyr (Superior)- it’s a cooldown skill that can grant a bit of dmg reduction as well as proc things like Duelist’s Chain Reaction
- Condemn (Mastered) – Slows and makes enemies take +20% more dmg for 8 sec. Condemned enemies that die restore +5% hp and +5 energy
- Sacred Sigil (Superior or Mastered) – places a trap that triggers when enemies approach it to do massive dmg. Enemies hit +50% more dmg for 6 seconds. Successful attacks against the debuffed enemies restore +3 energy and +X health (the game does not say how much HP is restored). If you rework this to use Mastered you’ll also be able to make the enemies do 50% less dmg.
- Extirpate (Heroic) – the builds’ bread and butter. It’s mobility and damage in one package. While in a ranged stance shoots even more bullets around you so I advise using it in that stance and switching to melee when you need faster cooldown for your god skills and cooldown skills
- Holy Torch (Mastered or Superior) – throw a torch that explodes on impact and leave a burning AoE on the ground for 7 (superior) or 9 (mastered) secs. The superior also has 20% chance to create Icons of Sigmar on impact whereas the mastered also burns enemies in its trajectory.
- Holy Immolation (Basic) – all Fire dmg deals +30% extra dmg to burning enemies
- Impose Penance (Mastered) – give us a +75% Damage over Time buff for 20 secs after killing a champion
- Barbs – reduces our total damage (-30% damage) but gives us extra flat Damage over Time based on our total damage (you obtain this passive by doing the Act 6 story – Forges of Nuln)
- Hero of the Desert – gives a bit of most stats – dmg, dmg reduction, hp, crit dmg, movement speed, energy, counter attack dmg /consider using Duelist’s Chain Reaction here and reworking the other skills with the extra points/
- Inculcation – Icons of Sigmar grant +2 more energy, have extra +20% chance to appear & give us +5% dmg per nearby Icon of Sigmar
- Duelist’s Chain Reaction – using a skill with cooldown increases our Crit Dmg by +100% for 6 seconds – stacks up to 3 times for a total of 300% Crit Dmg (3×100%)
Legendary Ranks
My advice for every builds is: is start with Legendary Reinforcement and eventually based on whether you need dmg reduction or dmg start investing into either Legendary Endurance or Legendary Punishment. Eventually, get Legendary Crushing for more dmg reduction if really needed.
I’ve made one version that uses only the default God Skill Tree:
