Burnbot Frackalot Forged + Flaming Destroyer Build

Burnbot Frackalot

(Let them fee the BURN while  spamming Pulls, Debuffs, & Shockwaves)

This build is a complete lvl 60 setup and is UP-TO-DATE with the game post-launch & the Snow & Steam December update. The subclass used is Flaming Destroyer. I believe the build can be amazing when geared due to using one of the two top DPS Relics for Forged. Just like any build, in the right hands, this setup should be able to finish all Fazeer stages. It can dish out massive damage when we are playing it well & our energy is pre-filled. A good source of damage of this build is the combination of generating Steam quickly (via Vortex Bomb & Power Projection) to spam Fracking Strike right after using Sonic Pulse to make the enemies Vulnerable and take +40% more dmg as well as to buff Fracking Strike to do +40% more dmg on top of the vulnerability. I’ve included various sources of DMG buffs too – Cloak of Flames gives 25% dmg to us and nearby allies, and the Lil’ General focus can give another 25% that can be triggered when we use Imbue Relic (which I sadly didn’t have when I made the build). On top of that using Imbue Relic fully refills our Relic energy to allow for non-stop upkeep of Cloak of Flames as long as we’re in combat. We have 3 different DPS procs from the relic skill as well as Summoning Smash that also does some extra dmg every now and then. Add to this Ramming Robot for mobility and an escape mechanic and it’s a well rounded build. The Frostwall Shield + either a North Mace OR a Glacier’s Edge (sword) lowers the cooldowns of item-granted skills such as Imbue Relic by 25% or 50% with the set bonus.

The skills I use:

  • Cyclone Mode – 1 of the two choices/options as a heat builder
  • Ramming Robot – our escape mechanic and a movement skill. It also knocks back enemies we make contact with while using it. We also get 1 more charge on Tier 1. Tier 2 gives us +10% dmg to relic skill (which should buff the active skill and but sadly atm not the procs)
  • Sonic Pulse – makes our enemies take 40% more dmg for 6 sec. I also can stun for 1 sec with the Tier 1 Bonus. The Tier 3 bonus makes Steam Spenders do 40% more dmg for 6 seconds
  • Power Projection – gives us and nearby allies 50% increased defenses + the tier 1 bonus heals for 15% max hp when used. It also generates steam while it’s up and is crucial for this setup.
  • Vent: Vortex Bomb – our vent skill + a good source of AoE damage + pulls/vacuums the enemies close to us + 20% melee combat dmg reduction for the Tier 2 bonus + the Tier 3 makes it spawn bombs for more AoE dmg.
  • Fracking Strike – I’ve decided to make this the build’s centerpiece and build around it. Sends rippling DMG waves that hit enemies multiple times &Slows them by 50% for 4 sec. It can dish out AMAZING DMG when we stack 3 different +%dmg to Fracking Strike affixes & then get more flat dmg from the Weapon, Chest, & Locomotion.
  • Imbue Relicfully re-fills our Relic energy. Granted by the Ancient Ember Hatch. Can also recharge the cooldown of Summoning Smash when the set bonus is active. I did not have this  in eh video and used Charge Up instead (from Arc-Powered-Shoulders).
  • Cloak of Flames – It’s a great bit of Extra DPS to nearby enemies as well as a +25% dmg buff + another 10% Evasion to us and nearby allies.
  • Summoning Smash – Our BIG relic skill that we can active after spending a total of 200 energy (or after using Imbue Relic with the set bonus) with other skills like Cloak of Flames. It’s good to save and use this on champions & bosses.

The gear I recommend using is:

  • A good rolled + socketed Unstable War Arm Cannon (+%energy regen & -%energy cost)
  • A good rolled + socketed 1 handed weapon from the Arctic Armaments setGlacier’s Edge sword or the North Mace OR Blue weapon + a good rolled & socketed Frostwall Shield
  • Must wear 3 Mountain King’s Set pieces! I suggest wearing: Mountain King’s Cuirass + Gauntlets + Gloves (& slot thethe Helmet in Legendarium):
    • Mountain King’s Gauntlets Vent 75 or more Heat: gain Overheated, increasing Critical Chance by 10% for 10 seconds (becomes a +20% crit chance buff with the 3 set pieces bonus)
    • Mountain King’s Helm gives +1 Brawl Skills (+2 with the 3 piece set bonus) [I’ve tested it now gives you extra levels and DMG if the skill is already lvl 10 and you can use this to overcap skills]
    • Mountain King’s Wheel – when you use a Vent skill – Gain 25 Heat (gain 25 more Heat when using 3 set pieces)
    • If not slotting it: Mountain King’s Cuirass (Chest) gives +1 Barrage Skills (+2 with the 3 piece set bonus) [I’ve tested it now gives you extra levels and DMG if the skill is already lvl 10 and you can use this to overcap skills]
  • Ideally also wear 3 Ancient Ember, Arc-Powered, or Winterweave pieces! I suggest those be: Ancient Ember Hatch + Ancient Ember Shoulders + Ancient Ember Helmet.

You’ll be looking for flat dmg, optionally % elemental dmg and/or Crit dmg/chance, +%Evasion +%Block Chance, +%Fracking Strike (main focus), AND/OR +% Cyclone Mode DMG, AND/OR +% Vortex Bomb DMG (not so important unless you make it a VB oriented build), + X lvl to any skill you use as active and have more than 1 point into, + others.

  • the Shoulders and Chest rolled for +% Crit Dmg
  • the Chest, Shoulders and Locomotion rolled for +%dmg to Fracking Strike
  • the Locomotion + Chest will ideally also roll with + flat dmg
  • the Hatch can ideally be rolled for % Crit dmg and maybe elemental dmg
  • Crit Chance rolls on the Helmet and Locomotion is amazing too

Suggested Legendarium Powers (to fill in the gaps from items you’re wearing):

  • Mountain King’s Helmet
  • Lil’ General (only recommended when you wear or slot Ancient Ember Hatch)
  • Woodsbeast Hatch (for crit chance and immunity to some CCs)

Ideally you wear Unstable War Arm + Ancient Ember Helm + Hatch + Pauldrons alongside Mountain King Cuirass + Gauntlets + Wheel OR mix-and-match 3 Winterweave, Ancient Ember, other set pieces instead of the 3 Ember ones. Also Frostwall + North Mace OR Glacier’s Edge.

Based on availability & your preference there are alternatives:

  • Option 1: other Mountain King’s, or Winterweave or Ancient Ember, or Arc-Powered set pieces
  • Option 2: Unstable War Arm (if not wearing it)
  • Option 3: Or anything else you like (i.e. Skittering Shoulders if you need survivability)

The non-class specific shoulders now give us an active skill to slot in the skillbar which not everyone may like.

The recommended stats to look for in your items are (the list is not in order of priority and is just listing good bonuses + there’s new stats and I might have missed some which will get added later):

  • + Flat Damage (any)
  • +% elemental dmg (any) – starts getting very good later on when you have a nice flat to boost with this if you match the flat with the %
  • +% Damage with Fracking Strike and/or Cyclone Mode and/or Vortex Bomb (on shoulders, chest, and pants – priority is Fracking Strike)
  • +% Duration to Localized Storm this is a pretty amazing bonus before we get Imbue Relic
  • + Health
  • + Defense (the non elemental is good for any act but lesser numbers than elemental)
  • +% Critical Hit Chance (the cap is 40% but some skills will be able to get it past the cap)
  • +% Critical Damage (the cap is 300%)
  • +% Gear Luck (eventually try to get like 50-75% total for good drop quantity – the cap is 100%)
  • +% Energy Recharge Rate is pretty good for this build
  • -% Relic Energy cost is pretty good for this build
  • +% Block Chance (capped at 40%)
  • +% Chance to Evade damage (capped at 40%)
  • +% Heat Generation
  • +% Chance to Chill – a decent CC proc
  • +% Chance to Poison is a decent DoT and stacks with other DoTs
  • +% Chance to Bleed  to stack the poison with the other DoTs.
  • +% Chance to Burn to stack the poison with the other DoTs. We need this socketed on a shield/focus or a weapon.
  • +% Chance to Shock a decent proc
  • +% Additional Bolts Fired on Shock a decent proc
  • +% Chance to Stun/Slow/Blindgood but not a very important choice tho as we can slow with Dark Spears.

The Skills and Passives I recommend are:

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that my setup is WITH the +2 Brawl & +2 Barrage Skills levels from the Mountain King’s Set Helmet + Cuirass! On top of that I did NOT “use” the extra +1,+2,+3 Skill Point(s) on my Helmet .

MY IDEAL/RECOMMENDED SETUP (used in the video):

How to LVLUP the Build:

lvl 2 – get Vortex Bomb lvl 1
lvl 3 – get Sword Smash lvl 1
lvl 4 – Save a point then @ lvl 5 – get Tier 1 (lvl 3) Ramming Robot
lvls 6, 7 – get Rapid Strike lvls 1, 2, 3 (must respec the point from Rapid Fire)
lvls 8, 9 – get Vortex Bomb lvls 2, 3
lvl 10 – get Power Projection lvl 1 + Cloak of Flames lvl 2 (must respect the Sword Smash point)
lvls 11 – get Cloak of Flames lvl 3
lvls 12 to 14 – get Vortex Bomb lvls 4 to 6
lvl 15 – get Sonic Pulse lvl 1 & Cyclone Mode lvl 1
lvls 16, 17, 18, 19 – get Vortex Bomb lvls 7, 8, 9, 10
lvl 20 – get Summoning Smash lvl 1 & Fracking Strike lvl 1
lvls 21 to 28 – get Fracking Strike to lvl 10
lvls 29 to 35 – get Sonic Pulse to lvl 10
lvls 36 to 38 – get Cyclone Mode to lvl 3
lvls 39 to 40 – get Cloak of Flames to lvl 6
lvls 41 to 43 – get Rapid Strike to lvl 6
lvls 44 to 49 – get Cyclone Mode to lvl 10
lvls 50 to 52 – get Cloak of Flames to lvl 10
next get Ignition Source lvl 5 (if you lack Chance to Burn from gear) then Firestorm lvl 5  & Summoning smash lvl 3. Firestorm is not very useful without Chance to Burn in items or from Ignition Source (we can still burn with Cloak of Flames btw). Hopefully, at this point you have +2 skill point bonuses from the Mountain King’s Set so that you can get start removing the extra points from your skills and putting those where needed & filling the build as per the screenshots above.
