(Poison, Minions & Solid Defense)

The Bane subclass is one of the survivability centric relics and is a favorite to many and works well with various builds. Since the subclass is a permanent choice that we make at character creation, it is nice to see all Bane skills in action and not make the choice blindly. The start of 2021 is a good time to make a series of showcases for each relic subclass. This is the Bane Skills Showcase and I hope it helps people in figuring out if the Bane subclass is their cup of tea and also gives them ideas regarding certain “build-around-me” items that they could use as synergies for specific skills.

Active Skills:

NOTE: To unlock the Tier 1, 2 ,3 bonuses the specific active skill needs to be at lvls 3, 6, and 10. The cooldown and Damage % numbers listed are for lvl 1 of each skill.

  • Miasma (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Release the toxic vapors of Bane, surrounding you in a cloud of poison mist.Continuously drains your energy, lasting until Relic Energy is depleted. The cloud deals 143% Weapon Damage as Poison per second. While the buff is active, you and nearby allies deal 25% more damage, and your defenses are increased by 50%. Tiers:

    1. Summon a Spiderling every second while Miasma is active (Max: 6)
    2. -25% Relic Energy cost for Miasma
    3. Minions deal 100% more damage while Miasma is active
  • Venomous Maw (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 25 Energy) – Summon an ancient spider spirit that surges forward dealing 273% Weapon Damage as Poison on impact and poisoning enemies for 273% Weapon Damage per sec. for 4 sec. Tiers:

    1. Venomous Maw fires a second spider missile
    2. Venomous Maw summons two spiderlings
    3. -50% Relic Energy cost for Venomous Maw
  • Spectral Spider (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 50 Energy) – Summon an ancient spider spirit that fights alongside you for 16 sec., dealing 195% Weapon Damage as Poison and poisoning enemies for 75% Weapon Damage for 4 sec. Tiers:

    1. Spectral Spider releases four poison eggs that explode around it which deal 150% Weapon Damage
    2. Spectral Spider’s spider can fire a cone of poison missiles for the skill’s current Weapon Damage
    3. Spectral Spider now summons six spiderlings
  • Poison Nova (Cooldown: 20 Sec) – Violently release a wave of toxic projectiles around yourself, dealing 318.5% Weapon Damage as poison. For 6 sec. after casting, your total defense is increased by 50%. Tiers:

    1. Missiles knockback enemies
    2. Poison Nova’s defense buff also makes you immune to all debuffs)
    3. Poison Nova Missiles now pierce targets
  • Arachnid Assault (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Project six spectral spiders that surge out from you, poisoning enemies for 260% Weapon Damage for 6 sec. Arachnid Assault can be used after spending a total of 200 Relic Energy. Tiers:

    1. Arachnid Assault summons a Spider Queen
    2. Spider Queen now fires webs that slow enemies by -50%
    3. Arachnid Assault’s Spider projectiles now each explode into 6 more Spiderling projectiles which apply a second poison

Passive Skills:

  • Spread of Death (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Spawn poison bolts around you that deal 45% Weapon Damage when killing or critically hitting poisoned enemies. Per level bonuses:
    • Chance to spawn poison bolts when you critically hit a poisoned enemy +1%/+2%/+3%/+4%/+5%
    • Increased Chance to spawn poison bolts when you kill a poisoned enemy +4%/+8%/+12%/+16%/+20%
  • Eight-legged Allies (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Gain a 10% chance to summon a poisonous spider when you hit a Poisoned enemy. You can have up to 3 spiders that have a lifespan of 10 sec. Per level bonuses:
    • All Spiderling Damage +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%
    • Additional Spider Count 1/2/3/4/5
  • Staffing Up (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Its master once wielded a staff. Now, Bane celebrates those who do. Basic attacks have a chance to conjure an Enchanted Staff, which will attack enemies on its own for 20 sec. Requires an equipped Staff or Digitus/Bow/Railhammer/Cannon to trigger the effects. Per level bonuses:

    • +10% Basic Attack Damage
    • +5% Relic Energy Generation While Using Basic Attack
    • 1% Chance on Basic Hit to Summon Enchanted Staff
  • Puppet Master (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Bane grants you increased power over those who fight for you. Per level bonuses:
    • Minion Damage +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%
  • Energizer (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Become more attuned to your relic. Increase your Relic Energy Charge Rate. Per level bonuses:
    • Relic Energy Charge Rate +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25
