The Flaming Destroyer subclass is one of the damage centric relics and is a favorite to many and works with all sorts of builds. Since the subclass is a permanent choice that we make at character creation, it is nice to see all Flaming Destroyer skills in action and not make the choice blindly. The start of 2021 is a good time to make a series of showcases for each relic subclass. This is the Flaming Destroyer Skills Showcase and I hope it helps people in figuring out if the Flaming Destroyer subclass is their cup of tea and also gives them ideas regarding certain “build-around-me” items that they could use as synergies for specific skills.

Active Skills:

NOTE: To unlock the Tier 1, 2 ,3 bonuses the specific active skill needs to be at lvls 3, 6, and 10. The cooldown and Damage % numbers listed are for lvl 1 of each skill.

  • Cloak of Flames (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Wreathe yourself in a cloak of flames that drains your Relic Energy, lasting until Relic Energy is depleted. The ring of fire burns enemies for 208% Weapon Damage per second as Fire. While the buff is active, you and nearby allies deal 25% more damage, and gain 10% Evasion. Tiers:

    1. +50% Radius for Cloak of Flames
    2. -25% Relic Energy cost for Cloak of Flames
    3. Release a fireball randomly around you dealing skill’s current Weapon Damage while Cloak of Flames is active
  • Sword Smash (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 25 Energy) – Summon an ethereal sword that slams into enemies in front of you, dealing 585% Weapon Damage as Fire. Tiers:

    1. Sword Smash leaves a burning hazard that deals the skill’s current Weapon Damage and lasts 4 sec.
    2. Sword Smash now stuns enemies for 1 sec.
    3. -50% Relic Energy cost for Sword Smash
  • Blazing Pillar (Cooldown: 0 Sec; Cost: 50 Energy) – Conjure a pillar of fire that seeks out enemies for 8 sec., dealing 176% Weapon Damage as Fire per second. Tiers:

    1. Pillars shoot fireballs dealing 100% Weapon Damage
    2. Fire Pillars slow enemies by -50%
    3. Adds another Fire Pillar
  • Nimble Flames (Cooldown: 20 Sec) – Surround yourself with dancing flames. Blast enemies with two Fire Novas that deal 125% Weapon Damage as Fire, granting 20% Evasion chance, and creating additional Fire Novas on Evasion. Nimble Flames lasts for 6 sec. Tiers:

    1. +20% Evasion for Nimble Flames
    2. Fire Nova sets targets Burning for 2 sec.)
    3. Nimble Flames leaves behind a burning area on cast
  • Summoning Smash (Cooldown: 1 Sec) – Call forth six massive flaming swords that crash down from above, devastating enemies in the area for 942% Weapon Damage as Fire and burning the survivors for an additional 942% Weapon Damage for 6 sec. Summoning Smash can be used after spending a total of 200 Relic Energy. Tiers:

    1. 5% chance on hit to summon a single falling sword onto an enemy (4 sec. Cooldown)
    2. Summoning Smash now calls down a hail of meteors dealing 40% Weapon Damage on hit
    3. Summoning Smash now drops a sword dealing skill’s current Weapon Damage onto a random target in range every second for five seconds

Passive Skills:

  • Firestorm (Cooldown: 4 Sec says 4 sec but doesn’t to have a cooldown tho) – When you hit a burning foe, there is a 10% chance Flaming Destroyer will drop a Fireball onto them for 44% Weapon Damage. Per level bonuses:
    1. Fireballs Damage +10%/+20%/+30%/+40%/+50%
  • Magma Burst (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – When you kill a Burning enemy there is a 4% chance they will explode, or when you critically hit a burning enemy there is a 1% chance they will explode, both dealing 45% Weapon Damage. Per level bonuses:
    1. Explosion Chance on Kill +4%/+8%/+12%/+16%/+20%
    2. Explosion Chance on Critical Hit +1%/+2%/+3%/+4%/+5%
  • Giant Swings (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Like the great weapon it once was, Flaming Destroyer delights in seeing a massive instrument of pain. Basic attacks have a chance to obliterate enemies with a powerful fiery shockwave, dealing 125% Weapon damage. Requires an equipped Great Weapon or Digitus/Bow/Railhammer/Cannon to trigger the effects. Per level bonuses:

    1. +10% Basic Attack Damage
    2. +5% Relic Energy Generation While Using Basic Attack
    3. 5% Chance on Basic Hit to Flame Shockwave
  • Ignition Source (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – The spirit of Flaming Destroyer surges, giving you 5% chance to burn enemies for 50% Weapon Damage for 3 sec. You also gain 2.5% evasion chance. Per level bonuses:
    1. Burn Chance +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%
    2. Evasion Chance +2.5%/+5%/+7.5%/10%/+12.5%
  • Energizer (Cooldown: 0 Sec) – Become more attuned to your relic. Increase your Relic Energy Charge Rate. Per level bonuses:
    1. Relic Energy Charge Rate +5%/+10%/+15%/+20%/+25
