Azyre Phantom 3.0
This is the second rework (3.0) of my Azyre Phantom melee-centric mage build for Warhammer: Chaosbane. This build is a 2-in-1 combo that includes two sets of god skills that each require using different rolls & blessings in your items. One version is a Counter-spell passive + Counter-Attack stat stacking combo, the other version is a more traditional and involves flat DMG + HP stats stacking.
Here is the build video on YouTube:
The gear I recommend using is:
- the Dragontamer set as armor
- Blade of Azyre – a main dmg source ( can use a Soulfire if using Phoenix Herald+ superior Phantom Blade combo)
- Relentless Sentinel – amazing for survivability (can use a Phoenix Herald if using Soulfire + superior Phantom Blade combo)
- Phase Shift Amulet – the best in slot because of the dmg + dmg reduction
- Ring of the Veil will be amazing because we don’t need energy much (or other of your choice with good rolls)
- Ring of Dexterity is nice to give our Phantom Blade 100% more dmg (or other of your choice with good rolls)
The recommended stats to look for in each item are:
For the Helmet:
- Cooldown Reduction (high priority)
- Counter-Attack Damage (high priority if using Counter-Spell)
- HP (high priority)
- Armor (high priority)
- Health regen (mid)
- Resistance to DoT (mid)
For the Chest & Leg Armor:

- Health regen (mid)
- Resistance to DoT (mid)
For the Amulet & Rings:
- Damage (highest priority)
- Crit Chance (highest priority)

The Skills and Passives I recommend are:
Setup 1: When not using the Counter-Spell combo
- Phantom Blade Heroic (main dmg source)
- any basic energy spender of your choice (it’s a filler but can modify the build to heal when using it)
- Aetheric Storm Mastered (for dmg buff and extra aoe DMG hits)
- Blinding Light Mastered (for HP regen + knockback)
- Step Between Worlds Superior (or basic if you need the points)
- Aetheric Vortex Superior (or Mastered for Damage)
- Arcane Binding Heroic (loads of dmg)
- Hero of the Desert (a bit of everything)
- Arcane Secrets Mastered (some nice dmg from here too)
- Fortress of Willpower Superior (some dmg reduction but can be swapped out for other like Quaysh Shield Superior for dmg)
- Quaysh Mastery (basic one just for the dmg)
- Duelist’s Chain Reaction (up to 400% crit dmg which is 4 stacks of 100%)
Setup 2: When using the Counter-Spell combo
- Phantom Blade Heroic (main dmg source)
- any basic energy spender of your choice (it’s a filler but can modify the build to heal when using it)
- Arcane Manifestation Superior (for the dmg reduction + it also does a bit of dmg)
- Counter-Spell Mastered (decent dmg from here when stacking Counter-Attack)
- Padded Armour (good dmg reduction but can be swapped out for other like Quaysh Shield Superior for dmg)
- Quaysh Mastery Mastered (the basic one just for the dmg is enough tho)
- Duelist’s Chain Reaction (up to 400% crit dmg which is 4 stacks of 100%)
Legendary Ranks
My advice for every builds is: is start with Legendary Reinforcement and eventually based on whether you need dmg reduction or dmg start investing into either Legendary Endurance or Legendary Punishment. Eventually, get Legendary Crushing for more dmg reduction if really needed.
